The program you have here is a demonstration of a new concept. It is a psychological game which teaches recognition of rational thinking and feelings. Even more importantly, it teaches the connections between them.

Both being practicing Clinical Psychologists, the authors would like an established software publisher to pick this product up and market it. Contact Dr. Sandry at (312) 871-2626 or Compuserve: 70325,1235; Online America: M SANDRY; GEnie: M.SANDRY, or by mail to Dr. Martin Sandry, C/O PsychSoft at 2503 No. Halsted St., Chicago, IL 60614.

The beauty in this concept lies not in the programming, but in the content of the material presented. It is in the form of a game to make the learning fun. It is useful at home, at school, and in therapists offices.

We are able to produce new files about specific topics. For example, we are currently working on one about underachievement. Subjects can be covered according to what the marketplace dictates. We believe that this format would be good for topics such as child rearing (for various age groups), jealousy, depression, test-taking, public speaking, and much, much more.

Two different versions of the material covered are presented as the ADULT and KIDS. If you want to run The Rational Person from a program launcher, you will run either "Startup" (recommended), or "Rational" or "Rational.Kids." "Startup" is a simple Applesoft BASIC program which offers the same choices.

Please note that the files STARTUP, RATIONAL, RATIONAL.KIDS, FM, INSTR, SI, S.KIDS must be in the same folder (subdirectory) for the program to work. If you save a game to continue later, a sub-subdirectory will be created to hold the game. The files DOCUMENTATION and READ.ME.FIRST can be anywhere.

Your comments or wish list will be appreciated.
