"We speak Apple."
December 29th, 2011

Some big updates to the site today. Our website now enters version 4.2 and the SIG page now is seperated so that each SIG has its own page with information and upcoming events. You can even ask questions on the site and they will be addressed at the next meeting. How cool is that?

Other pages were updated or tweaked and take on a Lion-esque design with icons and background. Version 4.3 is coming soon and will add on to the Meetings page with more detail.

"New Apple Gram, New Social Design, small tweaks"

It's about time that I update the news page since there have been some new things on our website since my last update in July. A few of the pages on our site have been redone or things have been added. You may notice the meetings page has been totally redone so it is more obvious what is going on at upcoming dates.

Two videos that were made recently as a tribute to Steve Jobs have been uploaded to our Media page. Be sure to check those out if you have not already or could not make our October meeting.

The Social got a makeover actually a few months ago and I'm just mentioning it here. The idea is to make The Social easier and hopefully make users like you add to it.

The next page I'm going to redo are The SIGs. Any suggestions are welcome!

Summer has been horribly hot, so I'm going to stay in and update websites. That seems the best way to beat the heat. A new Apple Gram launches today with new graphics for Apple Gram on the homepage. Apple Corps Social gets a new look that is now easier to use and reply to messages. You can even like a message now if someone says something you were gonna say. Minor tweaks to the website have been done for easier viewing and better flow.

Let us know what you would like to see here in the future!

"Tweaking here and there"

Where did February go!? Keep an eye on our site as I will be tweaking it with more information on SIGs, upcoming events, and so forth. I've also updated our navigation bar as to not be left behind by our friends in Cupertino. This menu bar was a little more difficult to take apart, but very fun to put together.

"AppleGram for October"
October 6th, 2010
by Jonesy

There sure has been a lot to read on our website here lately. That does not change today. Our AppleGram, which has been continuously published since 1978, has a new issue out today in our Apple Gram section with some nice reviews of software for iTunes and managing your files on your Mac. Check it out!

"Canon coming in November"
October 1st, 2010
by Jonesy

It's barely October, but the ACD Committee is already working on some great things for next year. Not jumping to far into the future, October we revisit Camtasia:Mac with Don Smith, a professional in his field, as he demonstrates some amazing things you can do with the program and how easy it really is. Then in November, we welcome Canon as our guest speaker which should be great for those of you that one to learn more in the world of digital photography.

Elections are in November. One great way to volunteer and help out the group is to run for a position in the Apple Corps. Volunteers help the group keep going, find new speakers, help others, and keep our group going in the right direction. The more the merrier!

"Blogging Away"

social icon imageThe great thing about our new site is there are many ways to interact with other Mac users here. When you join our Social Network, you have access to forums, online SIGs (Special Interest Groups), the abilty to just send small messages ("tweets") back and forth between members, and we have a great little blog that is starting to really take off.

We're looking for bloggers who love to talk about their favorite company, Apple. Reviews, tutorials, news ... we're not picky. If you would like to blog on our website, join the Social Network and PM @Jonesy. Right now, blogging gets you major points towards that iPad were giving away in December. Also, if you have not been by in awhile, leave a comment on some of the blogs that interest you.

"Version 4.0"
September 12th, 2010
by Jonesy

Our website now enters version 4.0. You might notice our site looks an awful lot like www.apple.com and that is no mistake. In an effort to make the site better to navigate, I've taken a nod to the navigation bar from Apple in hopes that it helps those that use our site. It's also faster to load than our older navigation bar and is deisgned to work better in browsers such as Firefox and Internet Explorer. I'm also working at vastly improving our pages on our SIGs, our About page, and our Media page with better links of our past videos and room for our future videos from our group. Feedback is welcome as our site takes a new move forward in improving our group.
