I’m planning on switching from a PC to a Mac, but still need to use Windows XP for a DOS based program that I still want/need to use. Adding insult to injury, I also still use a dot matrix printer for issuing checks for this same program. I know there is Parallels and Boot Camp to run Windows on the Mac, but I still need help getting this setting up. Any suggestions on who can assistance?
We don’t really have anyone that could come out to do installations like that; you may have better luck posting on our Facebook Group page to see if a consultant may offer their services or taking it to a service shop that does installs and setup.
Parallels may be the better way to go due to what you are needing to run or using a program like CrossOver (https://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover-mac) may be another alternative. Once you get Windows installed, it runs and installs things just like a PC would.
