The Apple Corps of Dallas, after 48 years of dedicated educational support to users of Apple computers, has come to a glorious end. On March 7, 2026 we held our Final ACD SuperSaturday at the excellent Frisco Public Library and celebrated our many years of service, community and friendship, and reflected on all of our accomplishments.
The last Main presentation was by Emmy winner, CBS Sunday Morning correspondent, and author David Pogue who joined us via Zoom. His new book, “Apple: The First 50 Years” was subsequently released on March 10.

We had a very nice catered lunch (Babes Chicken!!!), then recognized previous club presidents and other distinquished members, then had a look back at our history in the AppleGram Archives as the oldest continuously operated Apple Users Group - first met January 7th, 1978!
Our last raffle featured some nice giveaways to those in attendance who had ever been a member of ACD, including a MacBook Air, an iPad, a Mac mini and several other Apple products.
It has been a great ride, thank you to all who have contributed in any way to making this such a fun group for almost 50 years!! This website will remain active for the time being, and the red “Join” button will also be available for any future informal online socializing that we might want to have, but there will be no more formal meetings of The Apple Corps of Dallas.

Please join us Saturday, November 15 at 10 a.m. at the Carrollton Hebron at Josey library branch (4220 N Josey Ln, Carrollton) in the main meeting room (go right at the front entrance, all the way down the hall, room is on the left at the end). We will have Zoom available for joining virtually if you can’t make it in person. We will start with Lawrence Jenkins’ AI SIG, followed by a formal Quarterly Meeting at which time we will have our Annual Election. When that is complete we will have the main presentation, and since Jonesy is the presenter we will just keep going with the Mac Help Desk SIG at his discretion.

March 7, 2026 was the Last Official Monthly Meeting!
Our Apple User Group was meeting once a month, usually the second Saturday. We had new topics to talk about each month, guest speakers and presenters, and other helpful insights.
The Apple Corps of Dallas (ACD) was the oldest Apple Computer User Group continuously operating since its establishment in January of 1978, until the last meeting on March 7, 2026. See our archive of AppleGram newsletters hosted on the University of North Texas Portal to Texas History:

Our members were primarily from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area. Our aim was to provide you with the latest information on your Apple device, to offer help in solving problems, to present forums for discussion, and to provide insight on the ever expanding world of technology.
